Provoked - AR. Rahman & Karen David
Artist: Karen David
Half Tamil, half Chinese singer/actress Karen David proudly brings you Hypnotize. The video is cut to the version of the song featuring IshQ Bector and Sonu Kakkar. IshQ, in common with Karen grew up in Canada, but now lives in Mumbai, where he's enjoyed major success in India, with huge hits like Aye! Hip Hopper. Sonu, comes from Rishikesh in Northern India , and is considered one of the hottest young playback singers in Mumbai right now. She has worked on several films with AR Rahman, most recently the soundtrack to BLUE. Babuji was a massive hit for her. The video is directed by Adam Linzey for New Treatment. It's edited by Dave Ridgway. Dave had the tricky task of editing in the footage shot by Mandeep Sodhi in Mumbai, of IshQ and Sonu, with the Karen footage shot in Lee, South East London, over a freezing cold snowy winters day in January. In amongst the dancers, there's a cameo from producers Kully B and Gussy G. A key feature of the video is the amazing Mehndi work by Khilna Shah of Mehndi creations - check out the behind the scenes video too. We hope to bring you fresh cuts of the video edited to some of the other versions of the track in the coming weeks.
